STUDIO ACCESS - Keyholder
DRAFT
Full members with advanced knowledge of printmaking techniques, the ability to work alone and familiarity with studio printmaking equipment & safety procedures can apply to access the Studio facilities. Open access members are practicing artists who must be able to work independently as they may be alone in the studio, this is a key-holder program.
All open access members need to be approved by the management committee, have a strong history of independent printmaking, have completed classes at the studio and have had at least three orientation sessions with an experienced Studio member appointed by WPS committee to ensure familiarity with the studio and it's safer print practices. Individual open studio access members must be full financial members of WPS and purchase an annual fee of $70 and access members are expected to be part of the WPS printmakers access community (volunteering in the studio, creating an artist community amongst experienced users). Open Access Users are generally a small sub-group of overall members. There is an annual OHS induction and membership is also reviewed annually.
