Description

This old watermill was built in the 1700's and was used to power blast furnaces which were years ahead of their time. The buildings were in disrepair for many years before being restored over the last few decades. By printing on paper I had made on sinamay mesh, I sought to show the disrepair in the old building prior to restoration.

Artist Bio

I came to printmaking later in life and very much enjoy investigating and attempting to master the various techniques available to create unique artworks. There are so many ways to approach a subject from the creation of the plates to the way in which they are inked and printed - this is the joy of printmaking for me.
