Art Connections was the result of a collaboration between Warringah Printmakers Studio & 'Connections' an Aboriginal Women's Art Therapy Group based in Chippendale.
The project was presented by Warringah Council & supported by the South East Sydney Illawarra Area Health Service as part of the 2006 Guringai Festival. The Sea La Vie Café provided one of the exhibition venues.
Over a period of 6 weeks in April & May 2006, seventeen women artists worked collaboratively to generate artwork for an exhibition which celebrated Aboriginal culture & heritage. The process of making art together &sharing diverse stories & experience has enriched & inspired all the artists involved in the project.
